CURRICULUM PATHWAY
Set in a large and wonderfully resourced campus within the Khuzam area of RAK city, RAK Academy Khuzam offers a learning model that seamlessly blends the inquiry driven philosophy of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) with the rigorous academic framework and structured learning objectives of the British National Curriculum. This harmonious combination ensures that our students receive the best of both worlds: the holistic development, international-mindedness and student agency championed by the IB, along with the progression, high standards and academic rigor of the British curriculum.

Early Years Programme
Young learners at RAK Academy Khuzam are provided with a safe and nurturing environment which supports a successful transition to school. Working closely with parents and families, we design programmes of learning that are hands on and engaging for Pre-K and KG1 students.
Utilising a bi-lingual approach (English and Arabic), and with a world-class adult to child ratio, our highly qualified early years teachers encourage young learners to expand their language, mathematical and scientific understanding and to become confident learners through active, play-based learning.
Primary School
RAK Academy Khuzam provides unique curriculum which offers a blend of the IB PYP (International Baccalaureate – Primary Years Programme) based on the British Curriculum (UKNC – United Kingdom National Curriculum).
Our highly skilled and passionate primary teachers ensure that the needs of all learners are met through bespoke learning programmes, providing engaging lessons and a clear pathway of learning for success.
Our upper primary specialist support programme ensures our students are fully supported to transition successfully to our Secondary.
Secondary School
Secondary students at RAK Academy Khuzam are challenged and encouraged to set and achieve high standards in all they do. From academic excellence to physical challenge and a social conscience, our students gain important life skills as they mature into young adults.
We uniquely offer either British A-levels, BTEC, or IB Diploma programmes for our senior students. We are proud of the successes our students achieve as they graduate to enter top universities both in the UAE and globally.
Our unique enrichment programmes support the development of character and confidence, producing well-rounded individuals ready to take on the world. RAK Academy Khuzam provides many opportunities for our students to achieve through sports, arts and academic pursuits.

Sabhya Ali has extensive experience in education with an in-depth understanding and knowledge of international curricula.
Chris Callaway brings 25 years of teaching and educational leadership experience.
Shakira is an experienced teacher and school leader who has worked across a range of teaching and leadership roles both in London and Abu Dhabi.
Emma is a dedicated and supportive leader with almost 20 years of leadership experience in UK and UAE primary schools.
Secondary Leadership
Marc is an established school leader, having successfully filled senior leadership positions in multiple international contexts.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, 12 years of which as a senior leader focusing specifically on pastoral care
Chris has over 15 years of experience in education, with 10 of those years spent in Middle and Senior Leadership roles.
Elizabeth is an experienced Mathematics educator with teaching experience in the UK, Australia, and Dubai.
